WOYWW - 91

Its that time it is the first Wednesday of March
and that means it
Whats on Your Workdesk Wednesday
Pop over to the Queen of the Desk
and join in the nosey fun
I took the above picture as its how I work but my daylight lamp has given a lot of glare
So I took this one with the lamp turned off
so you can see the desk in its little dull corner of the living room
The cards on the top of the desk are the ones I have made this last week
As you most of you who visit me will know I am an OCD crafter and like neat lines
I tend to get distressed when trying to destress things
Well shock horror and I blame you lot that share desk
I have been out and brought some Tim Holtz Achohol inks from the Craft Barn
This is my first attempt as using them on a scrap piece of paper
Hmmm pratice needed I thinks
My other purchase was this mini woodware paper trimmer
I love this little trimmer its brilliant and stores two blades underneath
I have the big woodware one and the baby is just a brilliant
You can also see the start of a card I am working on
which I may try the inks on if I like it I may share later
Sorry I did not get round everyone last week
I will try this week but somehow there seems to less hours in the week!!

Thanks for Looking

Naughty Nicky? Love that desk, still! The trimmer looks good - I have the full version too and use a Fiskars smaller one. I share your love of clean lines but admire others' passion and skill in altered art.

Nice looking desk. Very busy. Keep trying the distressing stuff. It takes a while to get used to the grunge. Thanks for sharing. Vickie #49

They are well worth it, Nicky - I succombed over the last week as well and at first I was thinking I'd wasted my money but then I tried it on a proper glossy surface and was really impressed! Try them on some acetate or vellum, u can ink on one side n stamp on the other n u get two different effects in one, lol I must pull my finger out and post the results of my experimentation...

It's only dull in the corner without the light - the desk etc is lovely! Cool phone too! Persevere with the Inks - put drops onto a sponge and then sponge the colour onto paper - more control and better value!! Have fun!

p.s. I could do with one of those winder knobs on my Robo Cop for when he's chewing my paper up!

I'm not good with the grungy distressed look either, always ends up looking like a mess! Love all the cards all lined up.

Hi Nicky,
I too find distressing...well distressing! I like neat lines and symmetry. It took me a long time to be able to off-set an image on a card and even longer to put it on an angle! OCDers unite!
