Letter for Santa

This card has an image from Imag-E-Nation that I brought recently
I have coloured the image using my pro markers
Then I added glitter glue for the snow
and also some purple glitter on the girl

I quite like the effect of this one
The papers I have had for a couple of years and are from We R Memory Keepers Winter Pad
The snowflake paper I used was not big enough so I joined two sheets together
The mat behind the image is from some pearlized paper I have had in my stash for ages as well

Thought I would be one of the last this week!
Had a busy day at work but when I came home I had two parcels waiting for me
So had to have my tea first then sort out boring washing then finally I got to open them :)
In one parcel was a sew easy kit by We R Memory Keepers
I like the sewing effect on cards but my machine broke and I cannot be bothered with all the pricking lol
With this I can sew or do faux stitching but it gives a nice even holes to follow
I also received some decoupage and a embossing folder of drips
So my desk doesnt look as tidy as normal but everything will be put in it place later
On my journey to show you what I keep in my drawers
My second drawer up on the left side hold my envelopes
and a box of plastic number as well as my camera charger
This final picture shows my dog whose name I used for the name of my Blog
Because he was found abandoned the kids named him
'Stig that was Dumped' after the book Stig of the dump
His known as Stiggy and this is him hoping I am not going to make him go out in the cold
Well I managed to nose at lots of desks last week I have a few days of this week so hopefully I might get round them all
If you have not got a clue what this is all about pop over to Stamping Ground and join in the fun
Love

Quick and Simple

This is a really quick and simple card
It used a topper I have had in my stash for ages
Just mounted straight on to the slightly sparkly red card
I added a strip of decorative border
A pre-printed sentiment and 3 buttons
Took about 10min from start to finish
I think we all need some quick makes with Christmas getting nearly
and things getting busier

by using my Brilliance ink pad pearlescent Sky Blue

Ok its official I have played along once and am now hooked!
If you do not know what I am talking about visit the Stamping Ground Blog!
I did nose at everyones desks although I didn't get to leave a message on all of them.
I love all the bits and bobs everyone has
On my desk this week is some of the images I have been colouring to go onto cards
I am just working out what papers to use with them.
I always colour first then work out the papers, maybe I should try it the other way sometime!

I thought to give you something else to see I would show one of desk drawers each week
This is the bottom draw on the left handside of my desk
It hold my pro markers and a box of completed Christmas cards
If you are interested in the storage idea it is listed somewhere else on my blog it can be seen HERE and was featured on the passion for promarkers blog
(my little claim to fame)
Will hopefully get to nose - oops look at all your desks and leave some more comments this week
Happy Wednesday

I thought as I don't have a card to share today I would join in the
I am quite a OCD crafter I like everything organised and in its place!
My workspace 1930's desk that is in a corner of our living room.
The desk was used by a friend when he worked in our local council offices.
When he passed away he left to my family in the 1990's
It had been used for many years by my mum but when she moved to a bungalow
she didn't have anywhere to put it, so it ended up in the loft.
I had always liked it so a few years ago mum suggested it would make a good craft desk.
Its a perfect craft desk it has lots of drawers of all sizes and roll top to hid all my crafting away when I am not there.
The sheet has some digi images printed on it waiting to be coloured.
The sheet on the left is my pro marker chart and
on the right is my list of challenges I like to enter.
On the top of my desk is a tin of mingles - every crafter needs chocolate to keep them going!
The little orange name plaque was made by my daughter for me when she was at school.
Hope you enjoyed you little glimpse into my craft desk
love Nicky x
