I made this card on my Brother Scan and Cut I used it first to cut the circles from a white piece of A5 card Then I used my new We R Memory Keepers Foil Quill Pen to write the word Birthday. I had some snippets of red and yellow card in my box so I used these to foil the letters for HAPPY Then I placed the red and yellow piece behind the holes and stuck them down. Have a Wild Time

Image
This card was made using a clear stamp I brought from Ally Pally yesterday.  It's the first I have been as don't do well in crowds but it was fun. I stamped him using some distress inks. Then I used my waterbrush to bleed out the colour a little. The glasses came in the same set, I stamped this in black. Then again used a blue distress ink with the water brush to colour them. I then used my Spellbinder dies in my Todo to cut the oval. I cut the ears of the giraffe so I could shape them over the edge. Finally I finished with the sentiment.  This card is for the following challenges: Simon Says Monday Challenge ~ Don't be fooled be foiled Through the Craftroom Door ~ Anything goes Simon Says Stamp ~ Animal Antics Crafting by Design ~ Anything goes Pennys Paper Crafty Challenge ~ Anything goes Thanks for looking

Old Timer

Image
This card uses a lovely digi  image of an old Norton bike. I have coloured it with my chameleon pens to give it a sepia look. All the papers used on this card are from my snippet box. The background paper which looks like a map is actually a piece of wallpaper. As it was not quite big enough I cut it in half and put another snippets over the gap. Finally I had a little it of vintage postcard paper left, so I cut it into little shapes to use on the corners. The picture was mounted on to a bit of postcard paper then a piece of yellow. Tales as old as Time

Image
Something different from the usual cards I make. I have been thinking of trying the glass block ideas I've seen in shops. However I was struggling to find the block suitable for crafting  and I had this deep frame sitting around. I brought some little led lights that are powered by battery I cut the image out using my Scan and Cut simply from black vinyl. Then stuck it onto the front of the glass, I fitted a piece of gold mirror card behind. The put the lights into the frame mounting the battery box at the back on Velcro. I am quite pleased with how it turned out. This is for the following challenges: Simon Say Stamp Monday Challenge - Recycle something - the deep frame Pennys Paper Crafty Challenge - Anything Goes Simon Says - Clean and Simple Crafting with Attitude - Anything Goes Thanks for looking

Handmade Wedding Bouquet

Image
Thought I would share the bouquet I made for my daughters wedding. This was made using squares of paper that you fold into each petal, then I stuck 5 or 6 petal around a cocktail stick to form each flower and finished with a gem in the centre. It was a real labour of love. She wanted lollies in her bouquet so I used a round polystyrene ball to stick the lollies and the flowers in, with some pencils taped together to form the handles. These were then hidden by the purple ribbon that matched the colour theme. It was a bouquet that could not be thrown as it would have caused damage but she was really pleased with it as she did not want real flowers.  As a surprise for Jen and Marcus I added the tags with the some pictures of some grandparents that watched from heaven, so she felt they were part of the day. I made a smaller one for her bridesmaid to carry as well. I am entering this into the following challenges Simply Paper Crafts - Anything Goes Paper...
