24 Valentine Candles

Image
My DS is raising money to go to Mexico in June to build a home for a family who have at the moment live in such bad conditions that their children have to live in a orphanage.  There is a group of them hoping to go from his school.  To help him raise the funds I have made 24 valentine candles and boxes that they can sell along with some chocolates they are making in school. All the images I have used have been pre - coloured and are from various digi sources.  I then printed them onto tissue paper and used my heat gun to melt them into the wax each on is different.  The boxes have all been cut on my electronic ecraft using MTC software - the bases are all just plain coloured but each lid has been cut from a DCWV paper pack each lid either has words of love or hearts on it. This is them all packed and ready to be taken to school to help raise funds. I am entering these candles into the following challenges: Digital Tuesday - Hearts Simon ...

Wedding Charm Pin

Image
I wanted to give my sister a little pressie before her wedding day, so I decided to make her a Wedding Charm Pin.  I made the match box style box on my ecraft and finished it with the same ribbon I used for her wedding invites  Where I cut the heart aperture out I put a piece of pink card behind, inside the box I lined it with pink tissue paper  The card inside has the verse of something old, something new, something borrow, something blue and a sixpence for your shoe.  I did it in word and then cut it out and used my fiskars corner scissors to round the corners I have given this to her a week early as I did not want to upset her on her wedding day.  The reason being our dad died four years ago and I know at this time she would like him with her.  Our dad was a scuba diver and whenever he came up the ducks would gather around him - he was not a bird lover so ducks always remind us of him.
