Stressful Crafting......

Image
Warning this post will be photo heavy. My sister called me the other day to say that her work had decided that for their Secret Santa they had to hand make the gift.  After I had stopped laughing at the thought of my sister making something, (she admits she is the least crafty, practical person) she then annonced that I was going to show her how to make a candle and the box, but it had to be her own work. The following photos where taken by my mum who popped round to enjoy the fun of me teaching and Lynn trying to be crafty.  To say she has two left hands would be too polite! But after three and half hours she had finally managed one candle and a box to put it in and all decorated. She learnt to use my ecraft machine, a folder, heat gun, promarkers, glue gun and hot foiler machine. I think I have a few more grey hairs and well as laughter lines but she did it. Even if she had to make two boxes as the lid of the first was too small  ...

Putting Hubby to Work!

Image
My friend who is a vicar at a nearby church had a Christmas fair So as my DH is off and having to rest, I thought I would put him to work for her. I cut all the boxes out using my ecraft and he folded and stuck each one For the candles I used black images printed on my laser printer and then foiled them with my hot foil machine. The images had been printed onto tissue paper, first once foiled I then used my heat gun to gently melt them into the candles   Very quick and easy and happily they all sold so money raised for the church I am entering theses into the following challenges Cute Card Thursday - Eternal Flame Crafty Girls Challenge - Anything goes Thanks for looking

Update on No Posts

Hello all   After two days at the local hospital we now have a diagnoses for my DH He has a large Deep Vein Thrombosis in his upper leg and has now started treatment on blood thinning tablets.  He has confused the doctors as he has doesn't tick any of the boxes as to why he should get a blood clot, so in the next few weeks they will start doing some more tests so see if there is anything underlying causing it. He also made the Doctors day as he was pleased to see just a well formed clot and so large, that he asked to take photos for training purposes!  Hopefully now treatment has started life may start to return to some sort of normality and I may even get the chance to do some crafting.   Hope to be back with a post soon   Kind regards

Just a quick note to say sorry for having just got back into my crafting, I have not posted anything for a few weeks.  This is because nearly three weeks ago my DH collapsed with a terrible pain in his leg. The Dr's were called to the house and and it was cramp and would pass in a few days but may take a couple of weeks to be pain free.  Well this has not been the case, he is unable to move without the aid of crutches and it is more painful that before.  We went back to the Dr's last week and now have an appointment tomorrow with the fracture clinic to try and work out whats gone wrong.  I am hoping we get some answers and something to keep the pain away.  I am blog hoping in my lunchtimes but get little time to leave comments or do any of my own makes.   Hoping and praying life returns to normal soon
