These five christmas cards using the wonderful Christmas Bratz from Bugaboo This is what I spent my voucher on that I won from the Christmas Cards All Year Rounds Challenge I have coloured them using my pro markers Added a little bit of stickles glitter Cut them using my Curved Recangle Nestabilities Cut a mat of green card using the same nestabilities I edged the images with some poppy red pearlized brilliance ink The papers used all came free with magazines This is for the following challenge Christmas Cards All Year Round - January Anything Goes Thanks for looking x Nicky x

WOYWW 86 - Goodies

Its Wednesday and that means the its time to have look around the desks of the world If you wonder why I am showing your my desk pop over to the Queen of the Desk Julia at the Stamping Ground Blog  On my desk this week is some lovely blog candy from Laura from Airing Cupboard Crafts Look at all that lovely paper and the snowflake stencil is stunning Can you see the bookmark and lovely card she made as well Arent they stunning Thank You Very Much Laura  The drawers this week are the ones on the inside of my desk again but this time the righthand side The large drawer holds all my gems and sparkly bits The two labelled drawers hold the sleeve and blank for my ATC (have not made an ATC in ages must give it another go) You can also see a small shelf at the top that holds 6x6 papers and underneath a small pen drawer Next to the pen drawer is my twines for the its so easy This is a picture of my new toy its pink and its great I have had problems with silicon glue going off and bur...

Thinking Of You

This card uses a digi image from Pollycraft As normal I have coloured her using my trusty promarkers I cut her out using my oval nestabilities and also cut a couple of mats I used my sizzix Stars/Swirls./Dots embossing folder Where the join of the embossing folder is I used two bits of ribbon to cover it One plain pink the other has swirls and dots of pink on it The finished with a piece of ribbon tied into a bow Sentiment was done using my brother labeller This is for the following challenges: Pollycraft ~ Sweet Pastel Colours My Time to Craft ~ Spots and Dots Simon Says ~ Bingo - My line was Die Cut/Embossing/Ribbons Cute Card Thursday ~ Recipe 123 - 1 image 2 paper 3 ribbons Speedy Cats ~ Sympathy Card  Thanks for looking x Nicky x

WOYWW 85

Its that time of week again It's Wednesday and thanks to Julia that means we can go all over the world nosing at peoples craft spaces If you have not got a clue what its all about pop over to Stamping Ground - have a look around you will be amazed a what you will find On my desk this week is my card I am making for the Wednesday Bugaboo Mini Challenge If you want to see if I will post it later You can also see my new paper trimmer - this was a treat because I broke my purple cow cutter and this on is a Pink Finger Guard trimmer - its great and takes up less space Now the picture above is all Julias fault Since I have joined WOYWW Julia has mentioned her glass cutting mat just a few time I looked at them in the craft shops and although not really expensive more than I wanted to pay Then I went in BHS (Department store in Britian) and there was this kitchen glass top chopping board - thats also heat resistant Best of it was reduced from £12 to £4.80 - Bargain and it got pink on it...

Wagon of Love

This card uses an image drawn by Sliekje Digi Stamps I have coloured it using my promarkers The cut it out and used my fiskars corner scissors to round the corner I then made a mat and rounded the corners in the same way The heart embossed paper is actually wall paper I picked up as a sample from the local DIY store The hearts have been in my stash for ages and are simply stickers I mounted them onto card so I could glue with some dimension This card is for the following challenges: Secret Crafter - With Love Speedy Cats - Hearts Sketch Saturday - The sketch I have followed Thanks for looking x Nicky x

This card uses another Gus image and sentiment from Bugaboo I have coloured him using my promarkers Cut out the sentiment and image with my nestabilities I cut them so they would fit together Took a little bit of trial and error but worked it out and I am quite pleased with the result The paper are from my stash Tore the edges of the dotty on for some texture interest This is for the following challenge Bugaboo Birthday Mini Challenges - Monday Blue and White Thanks for looking x Nicky x

This card uses a Digi Image and Sentiment from Bugaboo I have coloured him using my promarkers I then cut him and the sentiment out using my nestabilities I inked the edges with my Brilliance Pearlize ink pad The Striped paper is from my Just for Men Pad by Papermania The paper at the bottom was embossed using my sizzix birthday texture plate I lightly sanded this bit so show the core colour of the card This is for the following challenge Catch the Bug - Birthday Card Thanks for Looking x Nicky x

This card uses a House Mouse stamps I stamped it using Stazon black ink then coloured with promarkers I used Spellbinders Labels 3 to cut and stencil the image and also to cut to the mat The paper is from the Daisy and Dandelion pad I cut so I just had the purple edge and label On the label I used a Thank You sticker The butterflies came free with a magazine I was given by a friend To finish it I added some small pearls to the flowers This card is for the following challenge Crafty Catz - Thank You Thanks for looking x Nicky x

This card uses a Digi Stamp and sentiment from Bugaboo I have coloured her with my promarkers I then cut them out using my spellbinders nestabilities labels For the mats I draw around the nestabilities I had used I then mounted some metallic grey card onto a cream base card Matted some paper and ribbon Then fixed the image and the sentiment On the image I then used two flowers that have bit fixed together with a brad and glued on top and bottom I wanted to bling the card abit so but gems around the sentiment This card is for the following challenges: My Time to Craft - Chocolate Simon Says - The sketch I have followed Colour Create - Pink, Blue, Grey & Cream/White extras flowers/Gems Thanks for Looking x Nicky x

Baby Boy

This card using a digi stamp from Pollycraft I have coloured him with the following promarkers Buttercup Ivory Satin Powder Blue Arctic Blue I then cut him out using my nestablities labels The label behind I then debossed using my new sizzix stars and swirls embossing folder I used my holographic embossing power to add interest to the edges The charm is my new sizzix charm frame with star I mounted a piece of card behind that I embossed the words New Baby in freehand again using holographic embossing powder The paper at the back was embossed with the stars and swirls embossing folder The sentiment was embossed using my new Docrafts Papermania sentiment embossing folder I finished the card with some white ribbon that came of pressies at Christmas This card is for the following challenges Pollycraft - New Things Passion for Promarkers - Baby Card Digital Tuesday - All White except for the image Thanks for Looking x Nicky x

Over the Hill

This card uses an image from Bugaboo I have coloured him using my promarkers Cut with the the Quickutz Round Corner Square Die The oval and the rectangle was cut using spellbinders dies Once I had cut the shape I used a Tim Holtz Embossing folders To emboss the large square and the rectangle I then sanded them slightly so show some of the white core The sentiment was also from Bugaboo and was printed in word This card is for the following challenges: Cards for Men - Sketch that I have followed Catch the Bug - Let's Emboss It Thanks for looking x Nicky x

Getting Organised!

Those who have followed this blog will now that I am an very tidy crafter I like everything to be easy to get to and neat My Spellbinders and other thin dies have been driving my nuts as they were all just still in their orginal packing in a box - neatly but it was not working well So I have made a new book to hold my dies I used mount board that I had left over from some framing I did I cut it down to size and then I used some of my 12 x 12 stash of paper to cover it I have had this paper about 18months and have not used it I then stamped my Little Suzy stamp that I have had since I started card making I love this little duck as he seems to be jumping for joy He is coloured using promarkers I then cut him out using my Spellbinder Nestabilitie label die I inked the edge to destress it a bit I then dry embossed some black card using my sizzix with a new embossing folder from Prov Craft It came with the black card that when sanded has purple showing through This is a first for me as I ...

WOYWW 83 - Oops Nearly Forgot

Oops with the bank holiday I forgot what day it was so here a later than usual What On Your Workdesk Wednesday There nearly was no workdesk to show as when I sat down on Monday to do some crafting I noticed the desk top seems to be moving and then my large paper drawer in the centre landed on my lap! I took the desk to bits and realised that over the years lots of screw had come out so out came the drill for some new holes with some new screws and now my desk is nice and sturdy and ready to face the next 50 years or so!
