Stiggys Crafts

This card uses a great digi stamp from Make it Crafty that I coloured using my Spectrum Noir Pens The card design developed as I had only a little bit of the text paper. I cut it down to strips and used the blue to spread it out a bit All paper was from my scraps box I love the unicorn as has a slightly drunk expression! Thought I would share the bouquet I made for my daughters wedding. This was made using squares of paper that you fold into each petal, then I stuck 5 or 6 petal around a cocktail stick to form each flower and finished with a gem in the centre. It was a real labour of love. She wanted lollies in her bouquet so I used a round polystyrene ball to stick the lollies and the flowers in, with some pencils taped together to form the handles. These were then hidden by the purple ribbon that matched the colour theme. It was a bouquet that could not be thrown as it would have caused damage but she was really pleased with it as she did not want real flowers.  As a surprise for Jen and Marcus I added the tags with the some pictures of some grandparents that watched from heaven, so she felt they were part of the day. At last I have some time to craft and blog. After my daughters wedding and then her house purchase, we have been helping them decorate and get their house sorted. Whilst we did that to surprise me my son decorated our now spare room and moved all my craft stuff in, so I now have my own room for crafting in - how lucky am I. This card uses a pre coloured image from Charmed Craft that at I have had for ages,  the charmed digi stamps where the first stamps I used when I started using digi ones. It is simply printed onto the card and then the text added using word. Inside the card the verse says Scientists have discovered that the longer people stay married, the more they begin to look alike. You better start putting name tags in your underwear! Well since July I was in full wedding flow for my daughter wedding, It was a homemade affair in our local church where her Grandparents were married over 50yrs ago Then onto the village hall for the reception. We made nearly everything including the table cloths to keep costs down. I will start posting the bits I made for those of you who are interested As well as the cards I have made in that time. Once they came back from honeymoon they were still living in us as their house had not completed Then finally it completed at the beginning of November, so all hands to help them move all the stuff they had collected and stored for the past through months in a number of peoples home. They are now happily sorting the house and have started their lives together My son has moved into his sisters old bedroom as that was bigger which leave the small room for me to create a craftroom, with a put me up bed in case it ever needed. I have been doing lots preparation for my daughters wedding whilst I am off work recovering  from an operation and unable to drive and having to rest - which I do badly! Most I cannot show you as the wedding day is not until 30 September But as she sent all her invitation out early in the year I can show them She doesn't like lots of white space so it was quite challenging working out her invites They had decided the colour is to Cadburys Purple and when they got engaged at Gator World last year it after doing a zip line through trees so they wanted a tree After quite a few goes this is the final design. The tree svg file was one I brought from Esty  and the little cat and dog a pre-coloured image from Sassy Cheryls.   I used my Brother Scan and Cut to cut everything including all the little images.
