Happy Birthday CAS

I used a tonic die to cut the shape from the white card.
I then cut the same shape from metallic shine purple card-stock.
Behind the white card stock I placed a piece of pink glitter card.
The I stuck the metallic shiny purple inside the whole so the card is all flat.
This is a really quick and simple card to make but I am quite pleased with the results
and it uses some snippets up.

Old Lady Again!

I did warn you I liked this stamp!
It's a digi stamp from Stamp on it I have coloured her with my Chameleon pens and used my scan and cut to cut it out.
She's then mounted onto a piece of snippet card.
The stars and pink cards are also from my snippet box.
The sentiment has been printed black onto yellow.
This is because my friend who this card is for is registered blind,
But she can read text if it bold and has a yellow background.
The sentiment inside was also done on yellow paper.
This is one of the best things about making cards.
Although I do wind her up by showing it to Ike her guide dog and telling him to read it, people do give us funny looks lol
The verse I used was the same as the earlier card which can be seen here

Wedding Anniversary

This card uses a brilliant digi stamp from Bugaboo
I printed it onto white card and then
coloured them in with my Chameleon pens.
I then used a spellbinder oval die in my Big Shot machine
to cut the pink swirl card in the corner.
The image was then mounted behind and
it was all attached to the card front.
The sentiment was done in word and mounted onto a snippet of card, this I trimmed with the same oval die so it fitted perfectly.

Updated Stamp Storage

I decided whilst I am looking after my friends house that I would sort the storage of my stamps out.
I had them all stored in plastic DVD boxes and the took up four of the above boxes. Some had got squashed and I didn't find it very easy to see what stamps I had, hence the decision to re-order them.
After much looking I saw these storage wallets on Amazon

I decided these would work perfectly and fitted in the plastic storage boxes I currently had the DVD cases stored in.
These boxes also come from Amazon and are available here
I then took some white card and cut it down to 13.5cm x 18.5cm.
I then used my Tim Holtz stamping platform to stamp my stamps onto each bit of card just using a black ink pad.

Once stamped I then laminated the sheet using an A4 laminator pouch. I then trimmed the laminated sheet and cut down the waste to 13.5cm x 18.5 which became my backing sheet.
Finally the stamps were stuck on to the back of the sheet and the backing sheet attached to protect stamps.

Then this was slipped into the storage wallets and popped into the plastic box.
Now all my stamps fit in just two of the boxes instead of four and they are so easy to flick through to see what I need.
It's taken quite a few evenings but has been quite fun doing.
Now I have spare boxes I can get some more stamps lol

Some Advice For Getting Older

I am still looking after my friends house whilst they are away but have been off work for a couple of days as caught a bug.
So thought I would catch up on some blogging.
This cards used a great digi image from Stamp on It
You are going to see a few cards with this image as I love it lol
She is coloured using my Chameleon pens
The papers are all from my snippets box
The swirls and flower were cut using some dies in my sizzix
Sentiment was done in word and printed.
The verse inside says:

If you get up in the morning and have chest pains
Don't panic just look down to check
you are not standing on your nipples!

Birthday Card

Crafting this month will be a little bit hit and miss as I am away from home looking after
my friends house, so between work and that I do not have much time to craft.
However I have taken all my stamps with me to sort out and organise in a new way.
I have spent an afternoon at home this week so made a couple of cards
This was a quick make using an image from one of the Hunky-Dory Little Books
I cut it down to a smaller size and matted it onto a piece of left over blue card.
I had used the centre of the card to die cut the sentiment so it matched perfectly.
This card was for a male friend of mine and the sentiment had
flowers swirling from it so I just cut these off.
I then used a piece of left over red glitter card and a snippets of yellow to finish it.
