17th Birthday

This card uses a pre-coloured image from Charmed Crafts
I simply mounted the image onto a piece of the orange card stock
Then used two other pieces as the background
Quick and simple but hopefully effective

Pooh Bear

This card uses a stamp from The Range that I have coloured with my promarkers
Finishing the balloon with a Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen
I cut Pooh out using my Brother Scan N Cut
The blue snippets where left over from some other project and just needed trimming
The sentiment came from the the same shop.

Secret Squirrel!

This card uses a really cute squirrel having fun on the leaves.
The image is from Karens Doodles
It always make me think of being children as we had a CB radio
and my sisters handle was Secret Squirrel.
I have coloured him with my promarkers and mounted him on some textured card that came free with my new Scan N Cut CM900 - I also cut the image and all the shapes out on this machine

DIY Hobby!

This card uses a great image I got from Just Ink Lined
I have coloured him with my promarkers and although it doesn't show in the picture
I have added glitter to the water squirting up as well.
The papers are all from my stash using a splash of silver behind each piece to make it sparkle
The arc was cut out on my new CM900 Brother Scan N Cut
(I upgraded to the wireless version)
As I am staying looking after my friends house I brought the Scan n Cut as I thought I could cut anything out on it - hopfully this plan will work in the next three and half months!!

Special Birthday...

My friend asked me to do a giraffe based card for her sons girlfriend
She gave me the words she wanted me to use as well
Which were
'You not Special Because its your birthday,  you are special every day!'
I found an image of a giraffe and used my brother scan and cut to cut it.
Repeating the image so I could decoupage it
I also used the image on the inside and the envelope to pull it all together
The yellow paper I used an embossing folder on in my cut n boss and cut an oval out the star paper using my spellbinders dies in the cut n boss
She was really pleased with the card

Inside I stamped a sentiment
Very quick and easy to make but I liked the effect

This card uses a decoupage image that I got from a Christmas pad cheap in The Range
The paper from from a 12 x 12 pad I got for £3 in Hobby Craft

Birthday Cream Tea

My sister asked me to make a voucher and card for her mother in law as they wanted to take her out for a cream tea with the family
I decided to make a teapot with a teabag as the voucher and a birthday card to match.
The teapot was cut using my brother scan n cut with a wonderful cutting file from SVG Cuts
The teabag is attached to the lid of the teapot so when opened the voucher can be seen
The details of the cream tea on one side.
I used the left over paper and some snippets from my stash drawer to make a birthday card to match
The picture is one of my sister with her mother in law which we couldn't resist using

Wedding Anniversary

I made this card for the sisters and brother in laws 24th Wedding Anniversary
They tend to go to Disney every other year so I thought I would do a similar card to the engagement one I made my daughter and her fiancee
This time I printed the image directly onto the card and used word
to curve the sentiment around the image
Finally I added a piece of red card with my bargain tape from
poundland and bit of spotted ribbon

Birthday for Adopted Dad

This card uses another image from The Little Book of Smudge and Mitten
I trimmed it down to fit the card and also the scraps off card I was using to mat and layer it!
This card is made totally from my scraps drawer
It was a quick and simple card but I am pleased with the effect
I made this card for a gentlemen called Peter who since the death of my own dad in 2008 has filled the space of Dad and Grandad to our family - not that he had any choice lol

What A Pathetic Year of Blogging - Now to Try Better and Greyhound keeping cosy this winter

Back to It and Belated Happy New Year

The picture above is my retired greyhound trying to ignore the fact that is has been snowing outside his idea is to cover up and ignore the weather

I was just looking at my blog for last year and realised how little I did on here
I am going to try harder this year although I have not got off to a good start with 2017
I went down with a cold between Christmas and New Year and do not seem to be able to shift it
I was signed of from work last week and am still suffering with a sore throat and cough
Just hoping it clears up by Monday or it will back to the Doctors
I have been making cards and will start getting some of the posted on here
I am also starting to plan the wedding invites for my daughters wedding in September
We have a very exciting year with ours and my sisters 25th wedding anniversary and a wedding
As well as looking after a friends cattery for three and half months whilst they are on a world cruise.
I do not promise to blog every week although that is was I would like to get back to but just to let you all know I am still here and crafting

I shall upload some pictures later of the cards I have been making upto Christmas as I have not felt well enough to make any yet this year but I have lots of ideas just no energy to try them out
So like any good crafter I have had a sort of my stash and put some on ebay and ordered some new bits to help me along the away

Loving nosing around all you blogs and taking inspiration from your craftiness
