Whats on your workdesk Wednesday

This is my desk late on Tuesday night.  Not that interesting I made some cards Sunday evening and this is how my desk has stayed.  On the left hand side is a small tin that held some mini impulses and I thought it was to cute to just throw away.  I just need to decide what to do with it.  The other
exciting thing on my desk (if you like tech) is my new tablet.  I had saved my birthday money and treated myself - now I can blog anywhere and keep my challenges all in order, love it.

As my desk is boring I thought I would show you the dining room table where DH is building some of his building for his trainset that he hopes we will one day have room to build.  As they say from small things big things grow.  He doesn't seem to mind using my pink glue gun.

Thank you all for your lovely comments last week I am now fit and well and back at work.

Now go and pop over to Julia's to have a nose of lots of desks just click HERE

Have a great week

Birdies Birthday

This card uses a really cute image from Sassy Cheryl's. She is coloured with the following Promarkers  ivory, tan, poppy, red, powder blue, daffodil bloom, April shower's, sky blue, fresh meadow, denim blue, canary and bluebell.
I then trimmed the image and cut the corners with my friskar's corners scissors and did the same to mat I put behind the image.  The flowers came free ages ago and are finished with a little red button from my stash.

Out of this World

This card uses a great image from Bugaboo - he is coloured using the following Promarkers honeydew, celestial blue, morning mist, silver, satin, khaki, tawny owl and pastel blue.
Although it doesn't show up very well I have doodled a frame around the edges of the image - all the card used today was off cuts I have in the centre drawer of my desk.
Inside the sentiment ... Cosmic Birthday!

Valentine Candles

I made a couple of candles for my son's fund raising for going to Mexico in July to build a house for a family, who at the moment live in a make shift house.

These have used pre-coloured images the one at the top is from Charmed Crafts and the one at the bottom is from Tiddly Inks.
For both candles the image was printed onto tissue paper.  I do this by just sticking the tissue paper onto a piece of  printer paper and it goes through my canon printer fine.
Once printed it just a case of layering it onto the candle putting a piece of greaseproof paper over to hold it in place and keep it smooth and then heat it with the heat gun
The boxes I designed in the MTC software and then cut them using my ecraft from a piece of A3 card stock from the papermill.  Finally I finished the boxes with some ribbon.

Snowman Salute

This card uses a digi image from Mo's Digital Pencil, he is coloured with the following promarkers.
gold, cinnamon, bright orange, poppy, pastel blue, icicle and henna
I cut him out using my quikcutz round square cutter in my big shot and the same for the red layer.
The cream card was embossed using a sizzix mat, ribbon came from Germany when I visited the Christmas markets last year.  Finally I finished with some bling at the bottom - looking at the card now I think I will go and add some stickles as well for a little glitter effect.

Christmas Hoot

This card uses a lovely image from Digistamp Boutique. I have coloured him using the following promarkers walnut, poppy, morning mist, tawny owl, tan, pink mittens, icicle, eggnog, honeycomb, cocoa, chestnut and henna.  I matted and layered the image onto pearlized card and red card that I brought cheap from the local craft shop - Carols Crafts.  The sentiment is an old peal off I found in my stash and the snowflake is a signal snowflake cut out of the cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder, and mounted onto a red disc cut using my spellbinders dies.

The card is for the following challenges

WOYWW - Whats on Your Workdesk Wednesday

Its that time of week when we share our work desks , normally I show mine when I get in from work, unfortunately this week I have gone down with one of the winter bugs that's going around, so I have been off work.
I  have a new addition to my desk - the original chair that came with it when it was given to my mum years ago.  When I started using the desk mum was still using the chair but now has change things so it could come and rejoin the desk.  I need to make a cushion for it as being a little on the short side I find it a little low.  But its lovely and next to my desk is Stanley the greyhound trying to sit as close to me as possible lol

I had a duvet day yesterday and did some colouring of images and at some point today I will put them together onto cards.  On my desk is one image from Mo's Digital Pencil being cut out with my big shot.
If you want to join in the go over the Julias blog HERE and have a good nose and if you are feeling brave share your desk for all to see

Have a great week

More Snow!

As I am away looking after my friends house and cattery I thought I would share some photos of the snow this morning.  My son spent a lot of time yesterday afternoon clearing all the paths around the cat pens I have not got the heart to tell him they are all covered in snow again!
View at front of cattery
View from upstairs balcony on a good day can normally see for miles
Another  view from the balcony
Tommy the cattery cat trying to walk in my footsteps as I  unlock the pens
Somehow I don't think the solar panels will help much today

Hope you all keep nice and warm today, I should be at home this evening so will do some proper crafting, although I have enjoyed just having a nosey around other peoples blogs.
I have even manage to visit everyone on the WOYWW list this week.
(I think that is a first for me)
I have also have fun redesigning my blog to make a bit clearer to see and as it names after my old Lurcher I wanted the Greyhound/lurcher image to feature.
