Looking Back at Mo's Digital Challenge

On Mo's Digital Challenge site this time she asked us to choose our favourite card from the challenges we have entered.  I chose this card that I entered into an anything goes challenge in May.  I love this image and have used it a lot in different challenges and always find it a delight to colour

Christmas Handbag

For Christmas my DD wanted to go to a big shopping centre near London as a pressie - so my mum and me came up with a little parcel for her to open to let her know she was going and to give her some spending money.  In the parcel was energy drink - to keep her going, plasters - in case of blisters, batteries - so she could recharge hers and this handbag with a cupcake and her spending money.
I made this using a template form Cre8tive Cutz and then cut it on my ecraft using the MTC software.  The papers where Brazil 12x12 pink candy and some docrafts hearts paper.  I did faux stitching to hopefully add to the effect - the ribbon was brought from a shop in Germany when I went there before Christmas
The bag was really easy to cut and put together and hold the cupcake so it cannot be seen until opened
I was really pleased how it turned out and my DD loved it as did my mum.

Ruck Sack

For Christmas my sister asked for money towards a new ruck sack for hiking.  My mum asked if I could do a voucher so she could give her some money.  I thought I could do better than that and after a little search on the internet came across the Cre8tive Cutz blog.  On here I found the cutting file for a ruck sack.  I cut it out on my ecraft using the MTC software using Papermill A3 card for the main parts and DCWV 12x12 paper.
Once all cut it was very easy to assemble and I used ribbon to fasten the top down as I did not have any velcro or magnet fasteners.  I then put a Freddy Frog chocolate in each pocket on the sides and mum put money in the main part.

WOYWW 184

It WOYWW - Whats on Your Workdesk Wednesday time - if you want to see lots of craftiness going on around the globe pop over to the Queen of the Desks Julia HERE and join in but be warned it can be additive.

The picture above is my fold away desk that hides behind the sofa that Stanley is cuddled up on!  I needed to cut some boxes to put some Christmas pressies in and the conservatory was a tad chilly this morning so I thought I would set up my ecraft in the living room. Kids are at work and school and DH is in bed after his night shift.

On my rolltop desk I am in the process of putting the boxes together I cannot say to much in case my sister reads my blog as it is for her Christmas pressie.  On my desk you can see a new smoker dragon that I brought in the Cologne Christmas market yesterday and some ribbon that I picked up there too - it was great fun.

Well off to continue crafting this morning then mum and DD are taking me out for a birthday lunch .
Have a great week

2012 Christmas Card

This card is made using my ecraft, as time is ticking away and I cannot bring myself to buy Christmas cards I needed a quick card to make that I could send out to friends and family.

I used the snowflake image from the MTC software and cut two snowflakes out on a piece of A4 card - I had already worked out in word where to put the sentiment and printed it onto the card.  Once the snowflake was cut I cut the A4 card down to A5 size scored it and folded it on my Score It board then to finish used my stickles glitter glue to just outline the snowflake and put a light blue insert inside
Thats two made just another 58 to go - guess what I am doing this week.

Winter Snowman

This card uses another wonderful digi image from Sassy Cheryls.  I have coloured him using my Winter Edition Promarkers - Icicle, Frosted Leaf, Winter Berry, Polar Blue, Eggnog and Pink Mittens.
I then used some glitter glue that my DH brought for me from Hobbycraft.  The image was then cut using my woodware trimmer with the scallop cutter, then to define the edge I used the Polar Blue promarker pen just to give a light ink edge.  The next layer was embossed using a small metal embossing stencil I have had in my stash for ages. (sorry the camera doesn't pick it up so much)  The white card I have used was from Create and Craft and is very smooth and good quality I will be buying it again

Happy 1st Birthday

This card uses an image from Sassy Cheryls that I used a new program and a new technique (for Me) to colour it.  I used a program called GIMP and used this to colour it in digitally - it was quite fun working out how to do it and kept me quiet for quite a time lol
The star paper is from my stash and has been in there for about 2 yrs, the striped paper is a scrap left over from a 12x12 piece of stamping up Christmas paper. Sentiment was done in word and printed out then mat and layered.

WOYWW 183 - its still Wednesday just!

Well its been two weeks since I blogged - I know shocking lol
It been for good reason DH and me went to Suffolk to visit my sister and do all our Christmas shopping
We worked out its the third time since the kids were born that we have been away on our own and they are now 15 and 18!  Also I have been making lots more candles - I made 27 for my boss for the MS charity and with the dress down down and cakes some other colleagues made the total raised was just over £300.
Since then my DS has been selected to go on a trip to Mexico to build a house for a family that need it next June.  So we are now fund raising for that so I have made another 33 candles for him and the rest of team of students to sell along with Christmas cards at a local Christmas Fair.  I thought you might get bored of seeing candles and boxes.

On my desk this week is a card for my nephew laying down its his birthday today, a card for a first birthday for a little boy into Mickey Mouse, a white on white card under construction. Plus quite a messing desk from the little flurry of activity.

Have a great week I am off to Cologne next week with my friends and DD to the Christmas Markets we are going got two days this year so really looking forward to it and I am off next Wednesday as its my birthday so I might even get to join in in the morning.
